Tedeschi Family Winery

Tedeschi Family Winery is an Italian-American family operation on the upper Silverado Trail in Calistoga that has earned a devoted following for its warm hospitality, its Sangiovese program, and the wood-fired pizza oven that makes it one of the only wineries in the valley where visitors can pair estate wine with freshly baked pizza. Founded in 2015, the winery draws on the Tedeschi family's deep Italian roots to produce wines that are designed for the table, and the pizza oven ensures that the table is never empty.

The winery sources from vineyards in Calistoga and other Napa Valley appellations, with the Sangiovese reflecting the family's Italian heritage and the Cabernet providing the variety that the market demands. The warm Calistoga climate suits both varieties, producing Sangiovese of bright acidity and cherry character alongside Cabernet of bold, generous flavor.

Winemaker Sal De Ianni produces wines that bridge Italy and California, with the Sangiovese showing the food-friendly acidity of the Old World and the Cabernet delivering the richness of the New. The red blend combines both traditions. All wines are priced to be enjoyed with the estate's wood-fired pizza rather than cellared for future drinking.

The tasting room features the wood-fired pizza oven as its centerpiece, with freshly baked pizzas available to accompany the wines. The combination of Italian-inspired wine, hand-crafted pizza, and the Calistoga sunshine creates one of the most genuinely enjoyable food-and-wine experiences in the valley. The $40 fee includes the wine flight, with pizza available separately.
